THE RETURN OF JERRY JAX
Lucky, Dante and Jason finally come up to the conclusion that the "Jack" Siobhan referenced from a conversation she overheard might be a last name like Jacks... as in Jerry Jacks, the scrupulous brother of Jasper Jacks. Running with this, Dante goes to see Jasper about his brother but runs into Carly instead. Jason goes to warn Sam who doesn't know that someone (not Jerry Jacks) has been in her apartment and was privy to her private conversation with her mother.
While his brother is running amuck, Jax is torn between whether to interfere with Brenda's life especially now Sonny is back on the scene. After Suzanne begged and pleaded (and put her nose where it doesn't belong) for him to pull Brenda away from Sonny, he requests Olivia to order roses and champagne and to send them to Brenda. Olivia reminds him to remember all that he has to lose if things blow up in his face. Just as it appears that he's going to heed Olivia's warning, he spots Sonny and Brenda downstairs in the Metro Court's restuarant.
Why did Sonny bring Brenda to the restaurant in the Metro Court? Even Brenda had to ask. Sonny's excuse: he had nothing to hide. My opinion, he wanted to rub their date in people's faces- mainly Jax's. Well he got his wish. Jax spots them and immediately invites himself to their table where they have champagne together.
Before the left, they encountered Carly who was too calm for Sonny's liking. He demanded for her to admit what she has plan, but she refused. Once Brenda pulled Sonny away, Carly started working on Spinelli, after she found out how much he did not like the fact that The Divine One is out with Mr. Sir. So using her sneaky little brain, she twisted it around that she heard from Dante's old cop buddy that he might have pressured Brenda into having an affair with him three years ago. Now Spinelli is on the case of finding concrete evidence that Dante and Brenda slept together.
In Scrub News, Robin was released from the hospital and returned home. She and Patrick almost had a tender moment until Maxie barged in and ruined it. Though Maxie tried to save it by leaving, the moment was lost and Robin sent Patrick away.
Patrick returns to the hospital and is requested to work on one of Lisa's patient. It's still tense with everyone having their own opinion of the bizarre atmosphere in the hospital. Thankfully Elizabeth is still on Robin's side and will probably remain on her side after she sees the "confession" Lisa put online- of course skewing the story so she is the innocent "other woman" and that Robin is the deranged wife who will never be satisfied with her husband. Can't wait to see Patrick confront Lisa. (He better do it)
In other relationship news, Michael and Abby grow closer. I don't know why but I don't think she's going to last long. Besides Michael, she has no connection to anyone else. I wonder if she's not the villain I first prophesied, will she be a casualty to the big drama that is brewing.
My TAKE ON TODAY'S EPISODE:
Suzanne is getting too many people involved in Brenda's life and I wonder why. She keeps saying that she is protecting a good friend, but she also told Jason that she obviously doesn't know Brenda as well as she thought she did. So is Brenda a good friend or a stranger with a past life she doesn't understand? And why is she asking for every man's (Jason's, Jax's) assistance to protect Brenda- knowing fully well that Brenda doesn't want everyone to dictate and interfere in her life.
Spinelli still has the most hilarious scene today- this time between him and Carly. However, he is one of the most gullible characters on the show. How could he believe that Carly would care one ounce about Brenda? As if!
I hope Carly is smacked down with her own schemes. She thinks she is so smart and is golden, but everyone has warned her that it will all blow up in her face.
Many assume The Balkan is Jerry Jacks, but I'm not convinced yet. Maybe Jerry is just a red herring. Could it be someone else more sinister? Or someone who is already in Port Charles?

Armed with her information, Carly is cornered by Jason so she shows her hand to Jason: she tells him that she has a person who could vouch that Dante and Brenda slept together 3 years ago. Jason however turns the tables on Carly and tells her that all she has is a guy's suspicion which she might have twisted for her own agenda. However, after Carly leaves, Jason talks to Dante and demands to know if there is anything else he needs to know. Dante maneuvers around the question, keeping his and Brenda's secret for a little bit longer.
Jason is not the only one calling out Carly. Uncle Luke spots dear Caroline encouraging Lulu to stay with Dante and to stay by his side. However, Luke does not buy it especially since he knows Carly is a Spencer- a person who is feisty and relentless. He finally pulls it out of her that she loathes Dante and cannot wait for him to fall on his face. When it comes to Lulu, Carly admits that Lulu betrayed family and deserves whatever she gets. Suspicious, Luke leaves her with a warning.
Of course Lulu is still oblivious that her main enemy is her cousin. She is so focused on being the perfect girlfriend and keeping her identity while keeping Dante's attention and affection. So insecure, she pesters Michael if Dante had spoken to him about her- making her young cousin uncomfortable. Michael was put into the position of protecting Dante by neglecting to tell her that Dante has been speaking of Brenda. Later, Michael confronts Dante and tells him that he overheard his conversation with Suzanne and believes that he does have an emotional attachment to Brenda.
He's not the only one. After talking to Robin and reminiscing about the old days, Brenda goes to see Sonny's old apartment above Luke's old club. When she gets there, she finds out that she is not the only one who wants a walk down memory lane. Sonny is there after he talks to Olivia about Brenda. Together, they talk about the good old days and their young romance.
While Brenda is reliving her happiest moments, Robin is going through her own emotional rollercoaster. She wakes up to Maxie throwing her purse at Lisa who was standing by Robin's IV with a needle. Thankfully (or unfortunately, really) Maxie prevents Lisa from injecting whatever she had in Robin's IV and chases Lisa through the hospital. Along the way, Lisa passes by Johnny and hands him the syringe. Maxie, Patrick and Steve demand for the cops to come to investigate. However, the cops- headed by Ronni- find nothing. Yet, Steve finds Lisa's presence in Robin's room enough to put her on probation. Lisa is livid and Maxie is slightly justified until people start questioning if she framed Lisa.
Lisa, upset, is actually surprised and happy to hear Nikolas stupidly defending her to Steve. Knowing that she at least has one person on her side, she runs after Nikolas and thanks him for being "objective"- gullible would have been the word I would have used. Still playing innocent, she continues to bat her eyes at him not knowing that Johnny is in the alley watching everything with a knowing grin.
Things to consider/watch out for:

Things to consider/watch out for:
- Luke will be watching Carly closely who is going to up her game; she's going to be desperate to expose Dante and Brenda, especially when she sees how all of the men in her life are ready and waiting to help the "distress damsel".
- Brenda and Sonny are going to grow closer which is going to make the moment when her secret is exposed that much juicier
- Johnny is not going to let Lisa get away with everything for nothing. A partnership is going to grow out of this and possibly.... more?

Jason has his hands full with trying to keep Carly from destroying everyone's life and Brenda's neurotic episodes. Carly claims that she is just holding onto what is hers, and the only way to do that is to run Brenda out of town. So what does she do? How about tell Jason that Brenda and Dante slept together. Like Jason would care. He already knows that they knew each other 3 years ago (of course Carly doesn't know that he knows). Brenda and Dante getting pelvic isn't going to change is opinion of either one- or at least it shouldn't. What do you want to bet that Carly is going to be pissed when she finds out that Jason doesn't care?
However, Carly's news might explain to Jason why Brenda does not want Dante to guard her anymore. After Suzanne started putting a few pieces together- Brenda calling out Dante's name when she was in the hospital in Africa 3 years ago- she began questioning both of them about it. Brenda sent Dante away and demanded for Jason to get Dante off of her guard duty. When Jason reminds her that it was Jax's suggestion, she goes to call Jax but Jason stops her not wanting Brenda talking to Jax upset jealous Carly. So angry that Jason cannot make any promises to her, she storms off.
Thankfully she doesn't go to any of her waiting men. Instead she visits her friend Robin who needs a good friend after the devastating bomb Lisa dropped on her and Patrick. Lisa has decided to go to the board and have Robin fired "for Robin's sake." Livid, Robin calls for Nikolas so he can talk to the board for her. When he suggests stalling the board meeting, Robin refuses. She wants to tell her story and prove that Lisa is the crazy one. However, SHE HAS NO PROOF! Thank goodness her buddy Brenda arrives to take her mind off of Lisa and they begin to reminisce about the good old days with Stone and Sonny.
Sonny is having a mixed day himself. He is able to thank Claire for petitioning on his behalf to see his son. Still strung out on him, Claire tells him there is something he can do for her: follow his heart to Brenda. I'm surprised she can be so calm and rational about something like that (especially when every other female in Port Charles believes they own every man they have slept with- Carly, Lisa, Maxie, Liz). Afterward, he goes to tell Michael the good news about their visitation. Then he gets a visit from Olivia who tries to talk him out of seeing Michael often for Dante's sake but their conversation turns to his relationship with Brenda when he spots a fashion magazine on his table.
Sonny isn't the only one Michael spoke to that day. He also had an emotional conversation with Abby who pleaded for him to talk to someone about whatever happened in prison. The question is who will he tell: Abby? Or someone else? Also, am I the only one who sees a huge resemblance between Abby and Carly (especially in this picture)? The wavy long blond hair. The black trench coat. Do they have the same stylist of something?
In more amusing news, the Quartermaines are having fun with marriages. Ethan and Maya accept Edwards proposition: 1 million dollars for 1 year of marriage. I don't know why Lulu is so surprised that Ethan (and Luke) would jump on that deal in a heartbeat. They are Spencers. DUH! As if her father's son could turn down an opportunity to receive a million dollars tax free to do nothing but stay married. I wonder what kind of obstacles are going to trouble the happy couple. Speaking of couple news, Luke and Tracy are going to get married with a few conditions: get married home, no drinks, surrounded by family and friends (does this mean her sons will be coming back home?) and it will be on December 21st. The problem: December 21st is Laura's birthday. Dun-dun-dun.
While most of his family is dealing with the Quartermaines, Lucky has to juggle the women in his life. In a very territorial move, Liz tracks down Siobhan to Jake's and demands to know more about her. Lucky halts her inquisition and tells her to stay out of his personal life. When Liz leaves, Siobhan states that Liz still wants Lucky (which she does) but Lucky assures her that he wants her. Liz is probably so confused. When she left, she still had Lucky and Nikolas twisted around her finger. Now that she's back, both have different women in their life and have moved on. Will she be knocking on Jason's door soon? Like that's all he needs right now. LOL.

Catch-up:
- Robin wakes up with Lisa hovering over her bed with a needle but after investigation, everything looks innocent and Robin is now looking more crazy and paranoid than usual. Lisa actually leaves claiming Robin needs help. Then she goes to Steve and threatens to have Robin fired because she's the one who is under investigation against any evidence while Robin is going away throwing accusations at her. Steve informs Patrick and admits that as the chief of the hospital, he has to be honest and admit that there is no evidence to support Robin but many to support Lisa. Thankfully, Robin is getting more good advice, but this time from Brenda who tells her not to give Lisa that much power over her.
- Brenda is making the rounds. Before she went to the hospital, she stopped off at Dante's hoping to talk to him but bumps into Lulu instead. They have a brief conversation where Brenda admits that she lost herself in her relationship with Sonny. This touches Lulu who wonders if she is getting too lost into Dante's life, forgoing her own independence. So she starts backing off, trying to establish her own identity again.
- Speaking of independence, Siobhan is stating her own and avoiding the flirty Coleman as she works around Jake's, meeting the local patrons and surprising people like Lulu and Dante. Jason comes to her, demanding to know if she can remember anything else from when she was kidnapped. It is then that she mentions a peculiar phone call that included the name Jack (could it be Jacks, as in Jerry Jacks?)
- Also at Jake's, Olivia is drinking down her sorrow and filling Coleman in in her latest woes: Carly and Johnny working way too closely together. She believes that Carly is only using Johnny to get Jax jealous but she refuses to allow Carly to drag Johnny into her drama which will probably mess up her life. Then she admits that if she thought anything sexual was going between the two of them, she would dump Johnny in a heartbeat.
- Little does she know that Johnny and Carly are working together to get evidence to destroy Brenda (even though Johnny is along because of his curiosity). They find it in Dante's old partner who assumed that the two of them were sleeping together. Beyond excited, Carly is jumping in joy with this news that can "push Brenda off of her pedestal." The only problem she has is who to tell first. Maybe Dante.
- Knowing that his wife is beyond crazy when it comes to her revenge motives, (revenge for what, I'm not sure) Jax goes to visit Brenda to warn her about Carly.
- While Jax freely goes to Brenda to warn her, Sonny tries to help by staying away and pulling strings. He is upset that Jason refuses to tell him Brenda's secret but understands in a way. So once Jason leaves, he calls Suzanne and demands for her to tell him all that she knows and accuses her of putting Brenda is harm's way. Not one to tremble before Mr. Corinthos, Suzanne lets him have saying that he's the one who has put Brenda in danger.
- In Vegas, as Tracy and Luke try to find an attorney to get an annulment for Ethan and Maya, the married couple decides to consummate their marriage under a drunken high.
Things to consider:
- Brenda mentions her sister when she has a touching moment with Nikolas' son in General Hospital. Could this sister make an appearance in Port Charles with a child? Hm.
- Why would Lisa warn Steve about her intentions unless she wanted him to tell Patrick so Patrick can come to her and beg her to not hurt Robin.

You know it's gonna be a good week when Monday's episode ends with a gunshot during an ambush.
First off, how in the world can Carly call ANY woman a maneater? May we look through Carly's past: slept with her mom's husband, slept with AJ and Jason (and was lying about whose the real father), slept with Sonny (hurting Jason), slept with Alcazar (and married him), slept with Jax (and now married to him), slept with Sonny again (twice while married to Jax) and that is just what I remember. I'm sure there are others. How can Brenda's history even compared to Carly's long laundry list of men who she jumped in bed with? Didn't she even sleep with Patrick before he married Robin?
Anyway, today's episode with filled with events:
After rescuing Emma and Robin from the fire, Lisa is called into questioning because Robin told the paramedics that Lisa started the fire. Though there is no doubt in my mind that she did, Robin should know better than to automatically accuse her in public without any evidence no matter what. Lisa has already proven to be a slick enemy who can beat the rap better than Sonny. What they need to do is ask Cameron, Liz's son, what he saw because if you remember last week's episode, we got a close up of him staring off towards the table with the blown out candles. I wager that he saw something or maybe he's going to recognize Lisa if he visits his mom at the hospital.
Now at the hospital, both Robin and Maxi are depressed about their childhood home being burned to the ground. All their memories, pictures, mementos gone. Matt comes up and comforts Maxi with an adorable stuff animal and receives a hug for his efforts. Alexis comes and offers to take Mac out for a drink to comfort him. (Looks like the Scorpios might be getting a love life out of this destruction). Unfortunately, Patrick does not bring much comfort to Robin. He is given the thankless task of informing her that she has an infection and with her HIV, her immune system is compromised.
While Robin is getting this disturbing news, Lisa attempts to plead her case to Nikolas, trying to woo him onto her side which is hard since he's been friends with Robin for YEARS. She throws his affair with Elizabeth in his face to make him sympathize with her which slightly helps for her. Who knows, she might have converted another Robin supporter.
In more dangerous news, Brenda, Lucky, Dante and Jason go to "trade" Brenda for Siobhan. In reality, they are attempting to do another ambush with Dante and Jason in sniper position. Lucky drags a "struggling" Brenda to the clearing where they are met with at least three of the Balkan's men and a blindfolded Siobhan. The head guy starts talking to Brenda, demanding something from her when a gun is fired.
While they are risking their lives, Carly is determined to destroy Brenda by getting Spinelli to do her dirty work. Unfortunately, Spinelli did find evidence that Dante was part of Brenda's guards during her last stay in New York- meaning that they have met before despite telling everyone otherwise. Just as Spinelli and Carly are looking for other cops to interview so they have a witness to their claim, Lulu pops up wanting to thank Spinelli for his help earlier that day. Poor Spinelli is caught between a rock and The Valkyrie when Carly says that maybe Lulu can help them and point blank asks her what she knows about the last time Dante protected Brenda.

Today's episode did not disappoint.
Brenda got a chance to see a lot of people: Jax (which was a sweet visit that led to him going down memory lane in his head), Carly (who ran away to bitch to Jason), Sonny again (who she was planning to tell "I love you" to) and Dante (who obviously has a mysterious past with her that NOBODY knows about). The Brenda/Dante thing was predicted by still gratifying to watch; their joyous surprise to see each other then the shock when Sonny walked into the room.
Frankly, I would not mind if Dante loved Brenda because I'm getting sick and tired of hypocritical Lulu. She has ALWAYS known that Sonny and her father didn't follow the law. In fact, she's envious of the time when her family was living the dangerous life, bouncing all over the globe, doing scams and whatnot as they go. However, since Sonny shot Dante (something everyone else has basically gotten over) she wants Dante to nail his hide to the door no matter who will hurt- mainly Sonny's children. Michael- who is going through a lot for her young age- will defend and support his father no matter what, even going as far as urging him to flee the country. Kristina will be hugely conflicted and hurt and become more of an emotional drama queen. Poor Morgan will become conflicted as well. But does Lulu consider that? No!
Okay, I've vented over that situation. Moving on to another blond who is growing on my nerves (in fact all the blonds are becoming equally annoying): Carly. I know she is scared that her dear sweet noble husband is going to fall back in love with Brenda, but to forbid him to see her is a bit extreme especially since she's the one who has slept with her ex-husband TWICE while married to Jax. Jax has not given her any indication that he would cheat on her. In fact, he proved himself with Sky when she visited. He was separated from his wife and Sky was not subtle about what she wanted but he remained faithful. Carly has NEVER remained faithful. If everything that they have done to each other (cheated, lied, betrayed, etc.) hasn't broken up their marriage, why does she think little old Brenda could?
The other blond who has been annoying me is Maxi. She's the one who broke up with Spinelli because he's not enough for her, but he cannot admire another woman? Can we say selfish and needy? She reminds me of another blond on the show. I wonder who. CARLY. I swear, they should be sisters or cousins or somehow related. They have more in common than Carly and Lulu.
Okay, now that I vented about the characters I'm going to turn my attention to the writers. They are putting way too much emphasis on Brenda's return. Even before she showed up, they overdid it with the three episodes featuring her and "her" men. Then were the continuous flashbacks that they are still using. And now 50% of Port Charles male demographic is drooling over her. She's a pretty woman but she is not Aphrodite or some Gorgeous Greek Goddess that has descended down to Earth. In fact, she's losing a lot of her appeal with their over dramatization of her. Fans (who weren't around when she first arrived on the show) are getting sick and tired of her already and according to reports she signed a year contract. Come on! I get Sonny and Jax's admiration of her- she was their past love that caused the friction between the two men to begin with. Dante's is because of a new storyline so I can forgive that. Yet, there is no need for Spinelli, Max and Milo to be swooning over her. Though I will admit, Spinelli is sometimes funny when he's not being ridiculous with his admiration.
Which brings me back to the women of Port Charles who is annoying me- or at least how she is being written right now. Sam is not my favorite character, in fact half of the time she is either boring or annoying. However, why is she so insecure about Brenda? Jason has told her several times how much Brenda annoys him. Carly told her how much Jason does not like Brenda. How can she feel threatened by Brenda when she was not threatened by or feel insecure with Elizabeth. Jason actually loved Liz. They had a child together. He still likes Liz and is devoted to her. The one she should be jealous of is her, not Brenda. In fact, her and Brenda could be friends which would annoy Carly so much.
Another highlight of the show for me was the banter between Luke and Lucky as Luke was arrested and Lucky refused to aid him. Instead, he called Tracy who claimed not to care even though she requested Luke's exact whereabouts. Even Lulu called her on her BS. So after Lucky confirmed Luke's aid, he returns to his apartment where Siobhan is waiting for him. They are like the second generation of Luke and Laura- a pair that began with question beginnings but will probably grow together as they travel around the world after the mysterious and dangerous Balkan. Like it.

Like it.

Jason and Brenda come face to face after all the build up and it was just as I expected- him being calm and stoic while she was emotional and stubborn.... classic. After a wedding photo shoot that dredged up happy and sad memories for Brenda, she stormed up to her apartment where Suzanne was waiting for her. Off on an emotional rampage, Brenda was barking off orders of how she wanted to go on a mission when there was a knock on the door. Low and behold it was Jason on the other side.
Jason's in Rome and Carly finally knows. Of course she did not take it lightly. Furious that Jason would leave her kids and her- especially since she should be his top priority (insert eye roll here)- she went off in front of Sam. Fortunately Carly was able to calm down enough to tell Sam she had nothing to worry about concerning Jason and Brenda. Breaking into the conversation, Michael made a surprise visit hoping to catch Jason. Michael's appearance only stirred up more things in Carly that had been brewing since earlier that day.
After Carly had been arguing with Jax about their future, one of her least favorite people decided to show up. Dante told her and Jax about the incident at Madison and Carly was furious that the school called Dante instead of her. Jealous and angry, she had to bite her tongue before it lashed out at him. Making the rounds, Dante decided to stop by at Sonny's where they had a sweet father-son moment. Sonny admitted to Dante that he is using Claire to get over Brenda- though he never uses her name. Does Dante know Brenda? Is she part of his secret past? Wouldn't that be a twist that would have Sonny twisted up inside.
Speaking of twists, Lucky managed to survive his first knife brawl in the Irish pub and escorted Siobhan up to his room. He was not expecting to pull out a gun, ready to shoot him. Thinking fast and taking advantage of her hesitation, he snatched the gun out of grasp and gave it back. However, he might have just blown his cover.

| BRING IT ON! |
I guess Carly is going to have a conniption when she finds out that not only was Jason contacted by Brenda's agent, but is already on his way to Rome before consulting with her. Who is going to get an earful? Jax? Spinelli? Sam? I can see Carly trying to plant doubt and suspicions in an already insecure Sam's mind. Even after all of Jason's reassurance that there is nothing between him and Brenda and he is only going there to sae her life, with Spinelli's adoration and Carly's poison-drenched words, Sam will probably be imaging all sorts of things while Jason is away. Hopefully Jason will return quickly to assure her that she has his heart.
Speaking of hearts, after Dante warns his mother to stay away from Johnny- who still believes that she loves Sonny- he returns home to make love to his sweetie, Lulu. Being the overly sappy woman in love she has become, Lulu tells Dante that despite Carly's claim of the opposite, she always believed that Dante would stick to his morals and scruples. It's funny that Lulu is putting so much emphasis on morals and scruples after her checkered past- drugging and sleeping with a friend's boyfriend, getting an abortion, running around with Johnny herself, plus a few other things, plus being the daughter of Luke Spencer. Lulu really should not be able to get on her high horse so quickly and easy without realizing that she's not perfect either. Of course, based on Dante's haunted expression after she said that, it appears that he's not that perfect either and he knows it.
Dante's Daddy Dearest, finally released after Johnny told the truth, decided that the perfect way to celebrate was to cook for a seduce Claire Walsh. Whether this is an elaborate plan to compromise her more and humiliate her for trying to play him or a way to distract him from Brenda, he is putting in all of what he's worth into his seduction. Romantic home cooked meal on the patio. Homemade canolli to nibble on while sitting in front of a fire. Yes, he really wants to set the scene. Wouldn't it be interesting if it bites him in the butt and she ends up pregnant after he is ready to let her go. Well if that happens then her mission would be accomplished- she wanted to have his child.
Isn't it ironic that one of the few women that Sonny slept with but never had a child with is Brenda- the love of his life that is always out of reach. Well, it seems like she is out of reach for everyone, including her fiance Murphy. She told him that she could not marry him because she was still conflicted over her past love- Sonny. What she doesn't know is that Suzanne has gone behind her back and ensured her a bodyguard she cannot dismiss so easily- call in Jason Morgan, her ex-husband.
Speaking of husbands, Robin confronted Patrick and Lisa at Jake's making a mini-scene before sitting down with Steve to inform him what her plan is with Patrick. Pleading that they want to protect Emma's life, she told him that he could help by pretending to be the new guy in her life. Steve declines, which I understand, but offers to give her a ride home as a friend. It is not quite clear if he believes Robin, but it doesn't matter since Lisa watched them leave together. Reaching across the table, she assured Patrick that it was all for the best.
