Well Luke, Ethan and Maya put their plan into action: Luke feigns heart attack in hopes that Tracy will pity him and allow him to return home with her so she can nurse him then Ethan will stop by periodically to sneak him cigars and drinks while flirting on Maya on the side. Whether Tracy falls for it is a different matter.
While her uncle is scheming away, Carly is livid that Jax is planning to renovate a few rooms to turn into an apartment for Brenda Barrett. After going on a rampage, she tells him it does not matter and runs to Jason practically hyperventilating. Then she turns on him and kisses him. Good grief. And she calls Brenda the slut. If anyone is destroying their life it is Carly. What does she think kissing Jason would do? What if Spinelli walked in? Or Sam? Or Michael?
Of course Carly has been busy. I'm sure she is the one behind the private notes sent to Sonny and Claire so they could meet and have dinner. After all, she was the one who told Claire that Sonny would be up for the taking now that Brenda has turned him down.
Claire is seesawing between her anger at Sonny and her desire to forgive him. As she told Dante, she wants to put him away and save him at the same time. A sentiment that Dante shares himself.
However, Sonny is not the only one on his mind recently. Both he and Brenda keep flashing back to their mysterious past together when he was her bodyguard (something only Claire knows about). Their relationship is still uncertain. Obviously there was a friendship and a closeness, but whether they slept together can only be guessed right now. However we get flashes of screams and d dark alley. What happened that dark, eerie night?
Well Brenda's friend Robin needed to have someone talk some sense into her. And she called Maxi. Maxi? Surprisingly, it is Maxi who talks her down and they have a very civil conversation before Patrick interrupts, answering for himself when they begin talking about their marriage. Patrick is willing to go to counseling and everything but Robin refuses saying that she doesn't want to get hurt more by hearing why her husband decided to cheat on her. I think in a way, though it is hard for her, she wants to hold onto the anger. She wants to be angry and play the victimized wife who has been abused by her husband and his mistress. I'm sure if people believed her about Lisa, she would be able to forgive Patrick more. However, since the entire hospital looks at her like she's the insane one, she feels vindicated to hold onto her anger and justified not to forgive Patrick. That's just my opinion though.
In other Scrub news, Elizabeth has been called out by Brook. (Okay this happened yesterday, but still.) Liz tried to call Brook a gold-digging opportunist but Brook turned it on her saying the Liz is playing hot and cold with Nikolas, forgetting about all the damage she has already inflicted on him. In this fight, I have to back up Brook. Liz comes crawling to Nik when she realizes that the money she invested in a deal that her brother warned her about is gone. Her money was her link to independence and now it is gone so she is back at Nik's door for.... what? Money? Support? Forgiveness? What?
